Meet our sweetie pie Butterscotch, or "Scotch" for short!

This squishy girl has become a firm favourite here at our Brands Hatch centre due to her quirky character and loveable looking face. She came to us as a stray so we have limited information on her history but during her stay have found her to be a sensitive but excitable young girl!

Scotch has shown some worried behaviours whilst with us, particularly when in new places and when meeting new people which she will need ongoing support with. She loves other dogs, but can be a bit OTT with her play at times so will need a confident handler to continue her socialisation. During times of higher stress, Scotch has shown some overstimulated moments which will need to be managed with patience and positive training methods going forwards. We have put in training plans for her since she has been with us, which have seen huge progress and we will of course share these with any potential new owners.

Due to all of the above and her quirks, Scotch is looking for an adult only home, away from any busy inner city areas so that she has easy access to quiet walking routes. She will need to be the only pet in her new home so that her new family can give her all of the time and attention she requires. She does settle well in her kennel when left and has not demonstrated any destructive behaviours, so once settled leaving hours could be built up to short periods.
