More about Cookie

Cookie is a lovable girl, that is looking for her new home where she can be the centre of attention. She has been top office guest in our rehoming office here at Battersea Old Windsor.

Cookie is a Jack Russell Terrier cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a huge heart and a gentle, affectionate nature. Although she can be worried by new people, especially when out and about, she forms deep, loving bonds with those who take the time to get to know her. She is highly food motivated, with chicken being her top favourite treat, which makes training and confidence building even more rewarding for her.

Once she trusts you, she becomes the sweetest little companion, happily soaking up fuss, offering cuddles, and showing off her bubbly personality. She especially loves her toys, soft toys are her absolute favourite and in the office, she’ll happily entertain herself, tossing them around and making everyone smile.

Cookie has lived in a home before and has been housetrained, as well as comfortable being left alone for short periods. While her settling in period should be taken slowly, she has some great basics in place and will be trying to steal the comfy spot on sofa in no time.

She thrives on routine and reassurance so a calm, steady household without too much coming and going will help her relax and bond at her own pace.

She is looking to be the only dog in her new home, as she is not keen on sharing attention or her toys. With patient guidance, she has already made doggy friends here at Battersea and is continuing her training to build her social skills, so her new family will need to be confident in supporting this ongoing journey.

New owners that can offer patience, understanding, and plenty of love, Cookie will grow into the most loyal, affectionate, toy tossing companion you could hope for.
