More about Daisy

Daisy is a charming Saluki who loves to run around and bounce after toys. She is based at our Old Windsor centre.

Daisy enjoys a gentle fuss from people she knows and loves to zoom around in our paddocks, in typical Lurcher style.

She also likes to potter around sniffing and to watch the world go by. Daisy does need a little confidence building when going to new places, so is looking for new owners that can let her explore at her own pace.

Daisy would benefit from her own private garden to practicing recall, house training and to have her own space where she feels comfortable.

We would advise keeping her on a lead until she has a solid recall. Daisy loves to run around so renting a private dog field would give her the opportunity to run freely whilst practicing her training. Whilst she is still getting to grips with toy play (she will run after toys but not learnt to play as such) we have found that she loves food.

Daisy arrived at Old Windsor as a stray so she will need new owners to build up her time alone gradually, taking it at Daisy’s pace.

She has been friendly with everyone she has met, but does have a worried side, so will need introducing to new people slowly, letting Daisy say hello in her own time.

Daisy has met a few dogs here at Old Windsor and has been friendly and playful, but can sometimes get worried around more animated dogs. She is very comfortable passing dogs out and about so new owners can gradually introduce her to calm steady dogs that Daisy feels comfortable around.

Once Daisy comes out of her shell and her confidence grows her fun bouncy personality will shine through.
