More about Edith
Edith is a bright and bubbly Saluki cross. She is currently based at Battersea Old Windsor,.
Over time Edith has shown her affectionate and playful character with her bonded people. She struggles meeting new people, especially men, she can be worried and has known to be reactive towards them while out on walks and in indoor areas. Her new owners will need to give her ongoing support around new people so she can build confidence at her own pace and continue her training.
When Edith first arrived in our care, she was not sure how to act around dogs, especially on lead, and this could result in her becoming vocally reactive and pulling towards other dogs when passing and greeting them. She has improved with the training we have put in place, but this will need to be continued by her new owners. This will help her build up her socialisation and manage her interactions around other dogs. Edith enjoys playing with other dogs once they have made friends and has been able to read other dogs well. We feel Edith can live with another steady and playful dog that can match her play-style and show Edith the ropes in her new home.
Edith can often be found running around with toys, she likes to either throw them around or squeak them. She loves her food and will settle well with a long-lasting chew. She likes exploring our off lead secure areas and enjoys having a splash or roll around in a paddling pool. Due to Edith's ongoing training and confidence building she will need a private and secure garden to continue this and allow her to have a safe space while settling into her new environment.
Edith will make a rewarding project dog in her new home who has lots of personality and charm to bring to her new owners.
