More about Hazel

Introducing our lovely Hazel, who found her way to Battersea as an unclaimed stray. We aren't too sure what her breeds are, but she is around the size of a Labrador. Hazel loves to run around our paddocks with a rope toy and then relax with her favourite people.

Due to the fact she was found as a stray, we have quite limited information on Hazel's background or life before she came into our care. However, she has proven herself to be a social little bean with people, enjoying their company. She is friendly and playful with other dogs, but is still quite juvenile in her interactions. Hazel will need a home with a secure and private garden for her house training, as well as burning off energy and recall training. She has some basics such as a SIT cue in place, but has the potential to learn so much more and loves working for her food, so should be a pleasure to train!

Hazel's new owners should be able to be at home with her for the majority of the time initially, while she settles into her new environment and builds secure attachment bonds. We have no doubt that this wonderful girl will soon flourish in her new home, especially with a gentle and sympathetic approach to the potentially turbulent beginning she has had in life. Any prospective new owners will need to speak to our vet prior to rehoming Hazel.

We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming

If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about lovely Hazel, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.

Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
