More about Jackson
Meet our handsome Jackson!
Jackson is a fun-loving, energetic young boy with a huge personality and equally huge enthusiasm for life. He's an intelligent boy who loves being out of his kennel, enjoying walks, and thrives when given plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to learn. Jackson has already shown that he can pick up training quickly and will make a brilliant companion for someone willing to continue guiding him through adolescence.
Jackson is incredibly playful and absolutely loves his toys, but like many young dogs, he can sometimes become overstimulation during exciting interactions. When this happens, he may become bouncy and occasionally mouthy, so his new owners will need to continue helping him build impulse control and keep play structured and constructive. He can also find some handling situations, such as harnessing or restraint, a little worrying at times, so would benefit from patient adopters who can help build his confidence through positive experiences.
Jackson has been social and friendly with other dogs in our care and could potentially live with a confident older dog who can tolerate his playful, juvenile nature. He would be best suited to a calm home with older teens or just adults, where owners are happy to invest time into his ongoing training, settling him in to home life, and building a strong bond with this wonderful, energetic young lad who has so much potential to thrive.
