More about Levi

Meet Levi, our cheeky, energetic Jack Russell terrier who is still young at heart and full of life!

Levi is a fun-loving boy with a real zest for life and a passion for play. He adores toys more than anything else and his absolute favourite game is to tug and rag, he would happily spend all day playing games if he could! Sometimes his excitement can get the better of him, making him a little bouncy and clumsy with his play at times. This bright little lad already knows some basic commands, and, with his love of toys, there is fantastic potential for further training and bonding with his new owner. Engaging him in play is a great way to earn his trust and build a strong relationship.

Levi would love a secure, private garden where he can burn off some energy, enjoy games with his favourite people, and continue working on his housetraining. While Levi is friendly around other dogs, he isn't overly interested in making canine friends and would much rather focus on his people and his toys. He's happiest doing his own thing rather than being a social butterfly.

Levi is looking for an understanding owner who can help him continue to build his confidence and trust. He enjoys affection, but on his own terms, and will often choose a game of tug over a cuddle. Don't be surprised if he proudly parades his toys around the house to show them off to anyone he meets. With patience, play, and plenty of love, Levi will make a wonderfully entertaining and loyal companion for the right home.

If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Levi, you can email our rehoming team on bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.

We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here (https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming).

Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.

Rehoming FAQs

Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.

This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest.  Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.

If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:

  • Microchipping
  • Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
  • Neutering
  • A collar, identification tag and lead
  • Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
  • Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings

Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
