Meet our Marvellous Maya!

This little bundle of fun is our Parson Russell Terrier, Maya, who moves at 100mph and loves nothing more than being busy with her soft toys and zooming around our paddocks. She is a really sweet little girl, but will need owners who are prepared to give her various outlets for her energy which can channel her crazy Terrier ways. A family who are interested in activities such as scent work, agility or one to one training would be perfect and give her the mental stimulation she requires.

Maya has shown some frustration and pestering behaviours around other dogs and was not socialised much with other dogs outside of her previous home. We have done extensive work and training around this with her and have successfully seen a decrease in her frustration and found appropriate tools to help her when meeting other dogs, all of which will be passed on to any prospective new owners. Anyone interested in taking Maya in as a new member of their family must feel confident to continue her socialisation going forwards to maintain and improve on her current social skills.

Due to being a very active girl, and likely needing work on recall, Maya will need her own private garden in her new home which will also be beneficial for housetraining refreshers as she has not managed this on site with us. She will need to be the only pet in the home, due to past squabbles with another dog and her chase drive towards wildlife. A home in a quiet location with a low dog population in the area would also be super helpful for Maya for settling in to her new environment and building on her social skills.
