Paddy is a friendly Tibetan Terrier who has a gentle nature. He is based at our Old Windsor centre.
Paddy has lived in a home before and overall settled well, however he has shown to be very anxious when left alone and would follow his owner around, becoming very stressed when they left even if he had other company.
Paddy previously lived in a home with other dogs, and we feel that living with one or more existing dogs again may help him to feel more settled and less reliant on his owners. He enjoys the company of calmer dogs, rather than those who want to play, but he'll need friendly and tolerant dogs who will be happy in Paddy's company.
We also feel that a home with more than one owner will help him, as this lessens the risk of him becoming more reliant on one person. Despite these things, Paddy may never be able to be left alone for long periods of time.
Paddy enjoys playing with toys, especially squeaky ones and he likes to take his toys to his bed. Lovely Paddy is friendly with people and likes to say hello to anyone who stops to give him a fuss.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
