Ready, Rex, Go! This high-spirited, radiant boy is always raring for his next adventure. Full of fun, enthusiasm and affection, Rex is a lovable character who enjoys a good play session just as much as a cosy cuddle at the feet of his favourite people.
Rex has been a firm favourite with staff thanks to his friendly nature and heart of gold. He's an intelligent young boy who loves toys, treats and spending time with people. While he can get a little overexcited at times, w especially when meeting new dog friends, he's shown that with calm guidance and the right outlets for his energy, he settles well and enjoys relaxing alongside his human companions. From his time at Battersea Brands Hatch we have found that he can have periods of time where he is needing his areas to be more familiar we have therefore ustilised out outdoor and indoor spaces to ensure that he is comfortable once more before introducing him to new areas. A garden will be ideal space for him to get familiar with before introducing him to the wider world, Rex has responded well to training, all training that has been implemented during his stay will be demonstrated to his new owners by a member of the team.
Rex is looking for an active home with experienced owners who can continue helping him develop his manners and confidence around other dogs. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home and is best suited to living with older teenagers. Rex promises endless entertainment, loyal companionship and the chance to watch a sweet, fun-loving youngster flourish into a friend for life.

Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
