Stark is a loving German Shepherd cross puppy looking for a dedicated and understanding home to help him grow into a confident adult dog. He is based at Battersea Old Windsor.
Like all young puppies, Stark is still learning about the world around him and will need plenty of positive training, guidance, and mental stimulation as he develops.
As he matures, Stark is expected to grow into a large breed dog so he is looking for owners who are comfortable with the size, strength, and exercise needs that come with owning a larger dog.
Stark has spent some time in foster home and has settled well but can sometimes be worried of sudden noises. Because of this, he will need a home with a private, secure garden in a quiet location where he can build his confidence and enjoy a safe outdoor space.
Stark can find being left alone difficult and would therefore need to live in a home with more than one adult carer to ensure he has low leaving hours and that all the household can be involved in his care.
He could potentially live with another dog who would be a good role model for him and can tolerate the bounciness of a young pup. He may also be able to live with a confident, dog-savvy cat that has previously lived with dogs but introductions will need to be taken slowly.
Stark's favourite things are being with people and relaxing with a puppy safe chew.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
