Battersea is part of the Dog Control Coalition, which is made up of RSPCA, Blue Cross, Battersea, Dogs Trust, Hope Rescue, Scottish SPCA, The Kennel Club and British Veterinary Association.

Cats are sweet, loyal companions that can make ideal pets, however black cats are often less favoured due to misconceptions around them. This National Black Cat Day (27 October), Battersea is offering helpful tips and tricks to photograph your cat, to dispel myths which suggest they do not photograph as well as their more colourful counterparts. 

Pet lovers have raised over £80,000 by taking part in Battersea’s Muddy Dog Challenge - one of the UK’s biggest obstacle courses where members of the public can take part with their dog.
