Hundreds of pet lovers have raised over £100,000 by taking part in Battersea’s Muddy Dog Challenge - one of the UK’s biggest obstacle courses where members of the public can take part with their dog.

As an animal welfare charity that has been operating for over 160 years, Battersea’s mission is to be ‘here for every dog and cat’. This extends far beyond the animals that Battersea takes in at their three centres. Through the charity’s Global Programmes strategy, Battersea works with rescues and organisations across the UK and overseas to help make the world a better place for dogs and cats.

Staff at Battersea’s Brands Hatch centre are celebrating after a dog, who spent over 270 days in the care of the leading animal welfare charity, has finally found a new home to call her own. The celebrations are all the more meaningful as the charity shines a light on rescues as part of ‘Wear Blue for Rescue’ this September.  

Rescue dogs from leading animal welfare charity, Battersea, packed up their tennis balls and frisbees and headed off to the beach in Kent for a day of fun and enrichment whilst celebrating Battersea’s Wear Blue for Rescue, which is taking place throughout September.
