With the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicking off today (20 July) in Australia and New Zealand, Battersea is showing its support for England’s Lionesses by naming some of its furry residents after the team’s football stars.

A sweet older feline at Battersea’s Brands Hatch centre is looking for a place to call home, after reaching the milestone of 150 days in the care of the leading animal welfare charity. 

After seventeen years of cherished memories with her West Highland Terrier, Buster, avid traveler Nicole Dawson takes on a mammoth challenge to climb Mont Blanc to raise money for leading animal welfare charity, Battersea, in Buster’s memory. 

An 11-month-old Cockapoo who was brought to Battersea in a tangle of fur has been given a second chance after undergoing a dramatic makeover, losing almost a kilo of matted fur.

A rescue dog, who became a canine celebrity after starring in a TV advert for animal welfare charity, Battersea, is being remembered by her owner in a special commemoration event for Pet Remembrance Day (5 July).  

A loveable Lurcher called Perry, who has been in the care of Battersea’s Old Windsor centre for over 18 months, recently celebrated his fourth birthday with a garden party as he continues his search for a home.
