How we help dogs and cats everywhere
By sharing our knowledge, expertise, and resources through training, grants, and partnerships, we support animal welfare organisations in the UK and around the world-improving the lives of more dogs and cats.
Battersea Academy
At Battersea, we believe in the power of working together. That's why we created Battersea Academy – a place where animal rescue and welfare individuals can collaborate, both in person and online.
Grants
Our Grants and Programmes team offers strategic funding and support opportunities to organisations within the animal welfare sector, to advance change, through empowering local partners, so that more dogs and cats can have a better future.
Grants spotlight: Jai Dog
We've partnered with Thai street dog charity Jai Dog Rescue for an ambitious five-year project, working to transform the lives of street dogs in central Thailand. There are an estimated 6 to 10 million stray or semi-roaming dogs in Thailand, many suffering a lifetime of hunger and neglect, and until now, resource to combat the issue has been scarce.
Animal Partnerships
Our Animal Partnerships team works with many different charities and rescues all over the country to help dogs and cats in need. The team also helps animals that we feel aren't suited to a traditional, domestic home. From police dogs to garden centre cats, we go all in to make sure every animal gets to live in the environment best suited to their unique talents.
Animal Partnerships spotlight: StreetVet
We’ve launched a new alliance with StreetVet, a national charity providing free veterinary care to the pets of those experiencing homelessness, to break down barriers and help transform the lives of people and pets experiencing homelessness across the UK. The alliance will aim to directly help support thousands of pet dogs, cats and other companion animals with preventative, routine and emergency vet care over the next five years.
